This design was first created by Jeremy Hall in 1979 with the column inspired by those on Magdalen Bridge in Oxford, with a wide base giving stability. This hand turned lamp appears to be floating off the table due to its bun feet set slightly set in from the edge of the base. This allows the cable to escape in any direction and so the lamp to be rotated to favour the interior. Each lamp is hand turned and finished in Danish oil and wax polish; so is unique, there are no two identical, and because the nature of the design, they will naturally work as a pair. We recommend to use a 30 cms shade.
